The future looks bright for wines with a lower alcohol content in the UK, if only someone could decide on what to call them.

RE: Comment - Lower alcohol wine

The future of lower alcohol content in wines is very bright...of course getting most of the wines produced to lower their content without disturbing the taste is the trick. Reislings and rose wines are examples of what I am talking about. Here in the USA, Reislings are becoming HOT, as they satisfy the consumer's wishes of food friendly wines and low alcohol and low in price. The first LARGE company that is willing to run a full page ad to promote these facts will have the inside track...for a while.
