Anheuser-Busch InBev is the leading global brewer and one of the world's top five consumer products companies. Anheuser-Busch InBev manages a portfolio of over 200 brands that includes global flagship brands Budweiser, Stella Artois and Beck's. The company was formed in 2008 when the Belgian-based brewer InBev acquired its US rival Anheuser-Busch The US$52bn takeover represented the largest deal in brewing history when the deal closed, bringing together the Stella Artois and Budweiser brands. Anheuser-Busch InBev has 120,000 employees based in operations in over 30 countries across the world. In addition, the company owns a 50% non-controlling stake in Grupo Modelo, Mexico's leading brewer and owner of the Corona beer brand, and a 27% holding in China brewer Tsingtao, whose namesake beer brand is the country's best-selling premium beer. InBev was created when Interbrew acquired Brazilian company AmBev in early-2004.
