Hansa Borg Bryggerier is Norway’s second-largest brewer. The company was founded in 1997 through a merger between two Norwegian brewers, Hansa Bryggeri and Borg Bryggerier. In 1999, the enlarged Hansa Borg acquired Christianssands Bryggeri. Hansa Borg is now made up of three regional breweries, one of which brews Hansa, Norway’s number two beer brand. Three parties own Hansa Borg – Borg Bryggerierne Holding, Spendrup Invest AB, which owns Swedish brewer Spendrups, and Danish brewer Royal Unibrew. Hansa Borg bottles and distributes in Norway for, among others, Heineken and Coca-Cola Co.
