Earlier today (24 April), Pernod Ricard announced its intention to acquire Kenwood Vineyards in the US. Here's a look at some facts and figures on Kenwood:

  • Established in 1970, Kenwood Vineyards is located in the Sonoma Valley region of California's winelands
  • The portfolio of wines owned by Kenwood includes the Yulupa and Sonoma ranges, which both retail between US$10 and $15, Reserve, which retails between $15 and $25, and the super-premium range Artist, which costs between $25 and $45
  • The company sells around 500,000 cases per year, almost solely in the US. To date, it has only a limited international presence
  • Pernod has agreed to acquire the winery, around 100 hectares of vineyards and Kenwood's IP rights
