According to this new report, sales of spirits in China grew by 25.9% in 2010, mainly driven by local spirits, which grew by 26%. China continues to be a heady mix of opportunities and pitfalls. Cognac and Scotch lead the imported spirits and, in 2010, Cognac outsold whisk(e)y for the first time since 2004.
