Last week, just-drinks donned a somewhat wine-flecked outfit as the editorial team spent three days hoiking its typewriters and dictaphones-with-fiddly-little-cassettes around the London International Wine Fair.

Our highlight of the trade show, beyond the usual interviews, news-gathering, catch-ups and late-night fun, was the presentation of our annual survey, looking at the UK's off-trade channel for wine. A lively debate was had among our panel of industry experts, to whom we are eternally grateful. To get a feel for how the seminar went – and for pictorial evidence - head over here.

And, for the survey results themselves, which are free to just-drinks' members in the form of this bonus briefing for May, click here. If you're not a member (for shame), then remedy that here.

Staying with wine, we also ran our usual monthly management briefing (again, free to just-drinks' subscribers) last week, looking at Australia's wine industry. That's over here.

While we can only apologise to you non-wine folk for our neglect, the brewers amongst you should head here for our (really rather comprehensive) coverage of SABMiller's full-year results last week. Also, this week, you can look forward to an exclusive two-part interview with Heineken's CEO, Jean-Francois van Boxmeer.

It's worth the wait, believe me.

Soft drinks, water, spirits folk? Bear with me – your time is nigh.

Until next time...
