The Smoking Ban: Potential Impact on the UK Leisure Industry 24 May 2006, London A half-day conference (AM) exploring the financial consequences and opportunities that the post-smoking ban may present.
The sun has finally donned its hat here in London which, after what felt like a winter that would never end, has had us all basking at last. With the London International Wine and Spirit Fair just over a week away, here’s hoping the weather holds out for you all as you wend your way to ExCel in Docklands. Our daily diary of what’s going on at LIWSF continues throughout this week, right up until next Tuesday (16 May), when we’ll begin reporting live from the fair for the full three days. Keep an eye out for a harassed fellow with a laptop and smoking fingers – and buy him a drink. So, in the build-up to the fair, keep an eye out for our daily postings, and let us know what you have planned for the extravaganza, by emailing me at editor@just-drinks.com. For you soft drinks and water companies, meanwhile, we’d hate for you to feel left out so, with Coca-Cola Enterprises holding a trade briefing at the end of this week, keep your eyes peeled for the inside track on what the drinks company has in mind for the UK market for the coming months. It’s all go here, but at least the sun’s shining. For the latest LIWSF diary entry, visit http://www.just-drinks.com/article.aspx?id=86362 Until next time...
